The rapid growth of cities, the globalisation of the economy, the shift from citizen to consumer, the rapid changes of policy, the decline of democratic involvement, the growing gap in wealth distribution, the changing patterns of demographics of life-styles are some of the trends that leave their mark on the physical fabric of the built environment. In this section we illustrate our efforts to bridge the resulting physical disconnections.
