Arts Council Reception
Dewsbury
The existing reception area in this grade II listed building was dark, uninviting and had a poor relationship to the street. By redesigning the fire exit from the building, the old solid lobby that acted as a barrier to the openness of the space could be removed and be replaced by a small glass inner lobby. The ground floor was then seperated into 4 quarters- reception, waiting, meeting and circulation whcih resolved some of the conflicts in movement across the space.
