The clients wanted a new extension that was beautifully designed and crafted. These requirements evolved
through discussion—a room to eat and entertain in to create an intimate and private space, which mediates between the house and the garden. This was achieved through using a combination of the existing loadbearing structure (from the demolition of a previous extension), building new
rendered block work walls, adding the timber monolith warm roof and timber sliding doors.
